Managing Traffic in New Zealand (Day 1)

Over the next few days I’ll be posting from New Zealand where I’m attending the first conference on Temporary Traffic Management (a.k.a. roadworks). The two day conference is being held in Rotorua, famous for its hot springs and pungent geysers, and brings together researchers, practitioners and policy-makers from New Zealand and overseas to share knowledge about best practice in temporary traffic management. For those of you that remember Fergus Tate, he is here representing the NZTA, providing good company and some fond memories of his time at ITS as a Masters student, then PhD student, then member of staff…..

I’m providing the keynote presentation for both days….I’ll let you know how it goes!
